Who are we

We help members and visitors feel connected through warmth, service, and care.

What we do

We greet, host, prepare refreshments, follow up with newcomers, and create a welcoming culture.

When we meet

Weekly service duty rotation (minimum 4 members per week)

Our Gatherings

Objective

  • To create a warm, welcoming and caring environment
  • Help members to be connected and valued as part of the church
    family.

Roles to Play

  • Welcoming and Greeting
  • Warmly greet members and new comers
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable presence before during and after service.

Hosting and Refreshments

  • Set up and manage the hospitality or refreshment area before and after service.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, snacks or light refreshments.
  • Ensure cleanliness and replenish supplies.
  • Create a comfortable and inviting space for fellowship.

Newcomer Follow-up

  • Identify and warmly welcome first-time visitors,
  • Collect visitor information using contact or welcome cards.
  • Coordinate follow-up communication (thank-you messages, welcome letters or visits)
  • Connect newcomers with small groups or church ministries.

Creating a welcoming culture

  • Encourage members to practice kindness & warmth
  • Work with ushers to ensure everyone feels cared for
  • Promote a spirit of ‘home’ in the church where everyone belongs.

Prayer and Care

  • Pray for newcomers, visitors and those needing encouragement
  • Extend care or connect members to pastoral or care teams when needed.

Working teams within the ministry

  • To have as many volunteers to serve as possible
  • LG members are to be encouraged to join
  • Aim to have at least 32 members to share the work load
  • Every week at least 4 members to be on duty
